Google Desktop

A well-reviewed application with multiple configuration options that allows for easy incorporation into your regular web browsing. As expected, Google Desktop also integrates with most other Google services, so if you are using any other Google products, such as search, this is a highly recommended application.

Mozilla Firefox with Google Toolbar

You can download the increasingly popular Mozilla Firefox web browser separately, or simply include it in your Google Pack download. In order to compete with Microsoft and Internet Explorer (IE), Mozilla had no choice but to make an incredible web browser, that specifically improved upon all IE´s shortcoming. Fastest web browsing, improved security, pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, and MORE. All these features, make Firefox the current web browsing champion and certainly worth the short amount of time it takes to download and quickly set-up. Skype

If you've paid to make a long-distance call over the past year, you simply must download the Google Pack and check out Skype. Excellent quality calls, video conferencing, chat and lots more. Skype is the clear leader in VOIP technology and comes free with the Pack.Google download.

Google Earth

If you haven´t already checked out Google Earth, this is definitely worth some time to download. Admittedly, Google Earth´s usefulness is somewhat limited, however, it is certainly cool to zoom in on your own house, or countless amazing places anywhere on Earth (and the Moon). The only thing cooler than Google Earth is the Google Earth Toolbar which you can get with Google Pack today.

Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer

If you´re still using Internet Explorer and haven´t made the switch to Mozilla Firefox, or another browser, Google Toolbar is a great little add-on that prevents pop-ups and provides a useful Google search box, among other features. You´re probably better off installing Firefox 3.0, but Google Toolbar is useful if you insist on using Internet Explorer.

Picasa 2

Google's Picasa photo organizer can be downloaded separately or can be included when you download the Google Pack. Either way, if you own a digital camera, this application is essential. Picasa is a simple photo management application that includes many amazingly powerful photo-editing tools that are shockingly easy to use, whether you´re a beginner or a seasoned photographer. I could write many paragraphs about how cool and useful Picasa is, but I highly recommend just downloading this application to see for yourself.

Adobe Reader 7

The most up-to-date version of the hugely popular and completely necessary application for viewing PDF content.

Google Pack Screensaver

Nice little application that turns your screensaver into a slideshow of your favorite photos stored on your PC. Exclusively available in the Google Pack download.

PC Tools Spyware Doctor

If you´re having problems with spyware on your computer and haven´t had success with other products, PC Tools Spyware Doctor is definitely worth a try to rid your computer from malicious spyware. This is a top rated spyware program, but if you're not having any problems with spyware, you don't have to choose this option.

GalleryPlayer HD

Personally, I do not recommend choosing to download this particular application. It´s essentially a collection of images that you can choose to download, but for a cost. Great application for people interested in, and willing to pay, for some amazing HD images, but certainly not for everyone.

Google Talk

Google is responsible for some amazing products and applications, however, Google Talk isn´t really one of those. Unless you are a diehard Google fan, stick with other popular and more full features instant messaging (IM) applications, such as MSN Messenger.

Symantec's Norton Security Scan

Most likely you have virus protection and it is working fine, so there probably isn´t a need to include this application when you download Google Pack. However, if your computer isn't behaving quite right, try Symantec's Norton Security Scan and that might just solve all your problems. (well, at least your computer problems)

RealPlayer

Used to be a premier media player, but has lost some momentum in the past few years. Useful for streaming radio, but not necessary to include when you download Google Pack.

Trillian

Interesting application that allows you to access multiple instant messaging clients from one application. I haven´t tried Trillian, as I only use one IM application, but if you do have multiple IM accounts, this might be worth including in your Google Pack download.
